WHAT?!! So fast one year aledi ah?!!

Sadly, I forgot how I started this year.
Aah, the year 2006.
Hmm, let me see...I was still in Foundation sem 2 in UTP early January this year.
Hmm...let me see.. let me see...
Wait for a minute kay..I have absolutely no idea what I have done for the past 11 months..which explains the saying "A blink of an eye" right..

Exactly, this is how I feel about the year 2006.
A blink-blink of an eye..
How did this year's eve celebration go?
I had a blast in Jin Shyan's place, for BBQ party with the Sixth Formers. I didn't know anyone there, except for a few, yet I enjoyed myself, counting the end of year 2005.

I don't recall anything significant enough to be mentioned..
Aaaahh, wait wait..Early of the year means my birthday celebration..Yes, that's something worth mentioning there..

I was not lonely during March this year.
I expected to spend time alone, after what happened, and to cry silently but no, I was not left alone. I had a superb birthday celebration in UTP as well as in back in Ipoh.
One thing which differs from the other birthdays I had was the two birthday cakes which tastes absolutely delicious. =)

Also the year 2006 reminded me that I was not alone in this world; I have my family to begin with, and also supportive friends who were there, by my side when I was feeling low.

The very same year, that I last stepped into Chemistry Lab in UTP. The end of my "acting" career in Drama class back in Foundation Sem 2. The end of Foundation, The beginning of my Degree in Civil Engineering.

The year 2006, brings in a lot of memories. Happy ones, and a lot of sad ones. The year when we all shifted into V5k, the new block of seniors and we had our fair share of arguments, and laughters. The very year, I brought alcohol back into UTP, the very year I started to puff the first cigarrette, and the very year I had the most frequent mamaking sessions.

The year when one by one had to fly off somewhere.

The year 2006 was also the year I learned something important.
For what is gone, is never going to be yours again.

Year 2006, a year which I learnt about people.
The different kinds of people whom I had to deal with.
The different characteristics which I had to tolerate.
The emotional trauma I had to go through.
Owh, the year 2006.

We finally had our post-class trip. Raya at Izzat's as usual. And the countless hangouts I had with the rest.

I know this entry comes in abit too early this year. The fact that I wouldn't be around tomorrow and the day after, and I would wanna you to read this early next year. I am going off to a little drinking session with friends whom I might not see often.
In the meantime, expect the best to come in year 2007 and may it's fruitful enough.
Have a very nice YEAR end celebration, and yes, enjoy the booze and atmosphere.

CHEERSS!!!

One of those sudden urge to write

With the new year coming in a matter of days, I can't help but feel a slight excitement running inside me.
However, the new year's arrival would only mean that the results for the previous semester would be coming out soon too.
I guess, what Dad said was right. In life, you can't always wish for the best, you have to accept the bad too. Or probably the worst.
*shivers*

The whole family is in a hyper state now, since the PMR results are out today.
I have my brother who took the exam this year, as well as my other cousin who took together with my brother too.
Results were out today, and yes, both got straight A's. Grandma was in tears, though I kept telling her it was not a big deal to obtain straight A's nowadays, but nope, she was still in tears.
Though it was not any great achievement, but I am just glad that my brother didn't let our family down. Otherwise, I would be tired, laughing at him the whole day.
*grins*
He's definitely going to be rich by the end of this week, with all the cash flowing in for him from the relatives and Dad who has just gave him a RM100 note.
Lucky thing! And like what Michelle always say, "Unfairness!!"

I need cash too, by the way. The Year End Sales are coming to an end soon, and I need to get a few shirts.
With the University just announced that all students are supposed to take Professional and Communication Skills (PCS) and it's one of the core subject like the one, Technical and Professional Writing. Means no running away from formal wear, which means, I would have to don a skirt also.

Cis. Now my timetable is so screwed.

Can someone teach me how to wear a skirt?

I hate living in a lie.

"Hah? Go online nothing to do ah? Go read Angkhian's blog la. Update everyday one..Like newspapers like that..Go la..guarantee got things to read ha..Believe me la!..go.."

Hmm..is that supposed to be a compliment?

However I no longer write that much now. I don't know why but I guess I have a life now.
Another life other than the one I spend my 24 hours online. Kevin did make a comment that I live my life online. Ok, maybe not the whole life, maybe 3/4 of it..but now,..hmm.. I only write when I think it's necessary, or when I had the mood for it.
Go check my www.tabulas.com/~khian, my other blogpage, and you shall see. My updates are only once in a day. Hmm.. I no longer whine about little things though and if you have read closely enough, you would have also noticed that I no longer curse in my recent post.
I think it's only when I am in UTP, that I use such vulgarity. In Ipoh, I don't even have such vocabulary. See the impact UTP has done to me?

Recently Chongkz said that I am gutsy and broadminded, especially in my blog.
I was like, "Huh?"
Wait, let me go check the EXACT meaning in my encarta.

guts·y [gĂștsee](comparative guts·i·er, superlative guts·i·est)
adjective (informal)
1.
courageous: showing courage, boldness, and determination
2.
done with emotion: done or performed with a great deal of vigor, passion, or emotion

broad-minded
adjective
tolerant of others' views: willing to tolerate a wide range of ideas and behavior

Haha..I guess she must have came across my backdated entries.
Aah, she said it was a compliment though.

It's things like this which makes you feel appreciated of what you have wrote. It's like you being acknowledged of what you have written. Not like it matters in my case, because I don't really write for an audience, I write because I want to share about how I feel. If you disagree, by all means, leave a comment.

I support homosexuality by the way, I just don't encourage it, that's all.
See? I just raised a sensitive issue here, and if you don't like it, then let me know. We can always have a friendly discussion over the net, or over a nicely brewed cup of KOPI kaw!

Anyway, I am running abit off track with what I was supposed to write about later.
Anyone knows where I can fix this stupid keyboard of mine? It's giving me a headache already.

*yes, Jiamin, if you are reading this, just wanna ask you to take care. The flood and all. Your house must be in a total mess..you stay in Taman Segar, Segamat right? Aiya, luckily you are on holidays now, at least you get to help your parents with the shifting and all. Stay strong!

Shopping spree with Hwan Jean today, and yes, I am totally broke now. Broke! Broke! Broke!
"Ah mui! You must be proud with me. I got a pair of Nike sneakers finally. But i think it looks familiar like yours..hahha, sorry, tight budget, have to buy something cheap for classes in uni. I got myself a sweater and another new wallet. Haih, and and and...pasar malam with Lydia and Eu Queen. Am full now.Gone la my diet! Gone!Gone!Gone!

GYM tomorrow!

ROTARACT's proposal is giving me a hard time.
and I had a fun time playing with Lydia's stick last night. It was hard.
Hehhe.
This must be one of those random entries I come up with.I really am pointless in writing about how I feel.
5 more days to new year though. Coming up with another entry about the writer a.k.a me as an opening to year 2007.
In the mean time, till my next entry, which probably be tomorrow, stay good yar?

Diet no longer working temporarily

Nah, no white Christmas this year.
Unless Mother Earth decides to give us all a surprise next year, we shall have snow alright?
This year, like EVERY other year, I spend my day in Genting Highlands.

It was a painful and tiring journey from Ipoh to Genting.
Both mum and dad went up a day earlier to catch some concert. Aah!Yes, they are wayy happening than their own daughter..
Bro and I, took the bus to Genting the next day itself. I bumped into Yap Yen Yee,together with her friend, and we took the same bus there.

So, why was the journey tiring?
First, I had to wake up as early as 7 am, to make sure everything's ready and done. I had to wake my pig brother up by 7.30 am, get my shower, and by the time we settled down, I had to call the cab, and go to the bus station. At the very last minute, my brother told me that his newly bought iPod shuffle couldn't listen to songs, so I had to quickly switched on the computer, download iTunes for him, and stuff the songs in for him. It was a matter of seconds when we switched off the computer and the taxi arrived.

We boarded the bus, and I quickly stuffed in my newly received iPod nano. I tried to get some sleep, but my player was playing some random songs which was blasting so loudly that it gave me a headache; a massive one. And I was so close to tears. I took out my headphones, but the pain didn't go away. I slept the pain away.

We arrived in the skyway station at 12 pm, the driver was efficient!.
Due to the long queue, 4 of us, which includes YenYee and her friend, took the taxi instead. Only RM40 and we avoided the traffic, hassle and we saved time. So, my brother and I reached Genting Resort Hotel, and we found Mum and Dad, standing there, waiting for us. Owh, before that, they kept calling to check on us, whereas I kept reminding them that we are no longer small little kids. Heck! After the new year, I am going to be 20. We checked into our hotel room, and were disappointed to find that the room only has One bed. One bed for 4 of us, and both dad and I are not exactly slim ok? The usual room we stayed in Genting was not available as it was the peak season, and we failed to get the usual room. Dad did online booking and booked the wrong room. Dang!

Anyway, that didn't occur to us as a problem, at least not till the night. So, we dropped off our luggages, and went for lunch instead. Dad brought us to the Emperor Restauant, just outside he casino and we had our lunch there. Both bro and I were terribly hungry, so we kept ordering dimsum and dishes. Dad kept signalling that we are not in FohSan, Ipoh, and the prices in Genting were trippled or doubled. Yes, things are ridiculously priced in Genting!

After lunch, Dad and Mum went into the casino whereas the two of us, went walking around to First World Plaza. Took us 1/2 hour to finished exploring, we found nothing new. I opted to walk all the way back to the hotel room, and bro went for gaming. I spend my time, updating my stuffs, and eventually falling into a deep sleep, until, someone rang the doorbell so many fucking times. And when I woke up to open it, I saw the housekeepin lady, inside my room, handing me a fruit cake, compliments of Genting Highlands Resort. I mumbled "thank you" and for a second, I held the fruit cake in my hands. The next second, I put down the cake, and I was like "WTF!". What if we weren't around, and we left things which are valuable in the room. The housekeeping people can come in whenever they want to!. I turned on my laptop, disappointed again to find no WiFi service available in the room, and then decided to watch an episode of "Heroes" when Bro came "ding dong-ding dong".

At the end of the day, the 4 of us, went for an International Buffet in Coffee Terrance Cafe.
International Buffet was nowhere near "International" if they only serve 'LOCAL FAVOURITES','NYONYA','WESTERN','CHINESE','INDIAN','JAPANESE' food. International means something other than these food which I always come across in buffet, anytime of the year! It was a total different Christmas dinner this year as it was the first time I didn't eat anything "Chrismassy" like turkey, or christmas pudding, or something like that. Instead, I enjoyed the satay they served. Dad quietly brought in a bottle of wine, and the 4 of us, enjoyed ourselves, like every other dinner we sat together.

After dinner, we walked around Genting, and Dad talked to us (again!) about the philosophy of life. If Chongkz said that Meiling is Confuscious, wait till she meets my dad! Dad was talking about something serious, siap with actions and a lot of facial expression, I suddenly made a remark: "Why you so dramatic one?"

He looked at me, didn't know how and what to react. And then, he chuckled.
and I was like "Huh?"

Alright, I guess I got the dramatic genes from him.

So, we spend Christmas eve together as a family. We did countdown-ing in our rooms, because I didnt want to go out and join the crowd. It must have been pathetic on my side, as everyone is either in a group or in pairs. Come to think of it, have you seen anyone, in some new year's eve party alone?
Aha!. That's my point.
So, Dad bungkus-ed Ciabatta sandwich for all of us, and we opened up another bottle of wine, and yes, we all dropped on our beds till the next morning. Dad, mum and I, shared the queen size bed, while Bro has to sleep on the floor. Muahahaha..Okay, we did the "Paper, scissors, and stone" thing and I won ok? Fair and square.

We left about noon the next day, only to realize that bro doesn't want to go KL. Damn stupid la him. Wanna go home instead. All my shopping wish, poof-ed! Gone!
I didn't manage to catch up with Yoke Yee who was also spending her holidays there. Hahha, damn no jodoh one ler!

So, i shall end this entry with a little cam-whoring pics of mine..Hahha..yes mar, have to end it with a happier note ge ma..!

It was rather lonely this Christmas, and to know that the person you love is spending his/her Christmas night with someone special instead of you, it kinda hurts. Looking at the bright side, the new year is heading this way, hopefully an ending to all and a new beginning?
Let's pray together alright?

December = A good ending, or a bad start?

The holidays season is here.
I have always loved Decembers, maybe it's because I know I will have someone special to spend the month with.
Yes, but not this year.
Nah, not this year; which incidentally made the year 2006, my "not-favourite" year.

So, big deal. I am spending Christmas alone this year.
No sitting by the phone, waiting for phone calls.
No holding hands, waiting for the countdown to start.
No new year kisses and hugs. No nothing to look forward to, in year 2007. No THAT particular someone to begin the year with together.
Yes, I am spending this holidays with my family.
Not like I am not being thankful, I am just, not used to not having someone special to spend the holidays with.

I am going to be away for a couple of days, for holidays.
Afraid not, I shall be online though, spending my day and nights in WiFi available cafes.
Probably Starbucks.
Yeap, definitely that cafe. No, wait.
The one in the Resorts Lobby is Coffee Bean. I think I would just have to walk a little furthur up the hill to Highlands to Starbucks then.
Weee!~~
Yes, so, just in case I didn't make it obvious enough, I shall be in Genting Highlands, for 2 days, paying Uncle Lim's retirement fund.
Dad will be around, so nope, no entry to the casino.

Then, it would be shopping. In megacity KL.
I have already planned my journey, my list of things to sapu, and the cash which I have been saving.
There's this Nike sandals which I love, this jacket which I am going to ask Mel pay for, and a couple of things which I would love to get my hands on.
Yes, I know girls' instinct when they go shopping, so a few extra dollars, just in case I see anything tempting, to buy.

Well, this is the season to be jolly afterall.
For the working people, a few days off would do you good, after a whole year round of heavy workload.
For those who are still studying, you probably had a few weeks of nice rest, so the holidays is a bonus to you all, and do have fun during this holidays.
Singles, go dress to kill, attend parties then party till you drop.
Couples, can also party, party, party but don't do it when I am around. Go get your own rooms.
Those who have to work during this holiday season, put on a smile, and service me well. Hahha. I know several people who has to work their butts off, even during the holidays.

Christmas means FOOD to me, other than the gifts and presents.
Like what Chongkz said, "I do celebrate Christmas, just that only they give me presents, I don't give them any."

I don't celebrate Christmas either. But I do enjoy the mood and food.
Food, especially, because Good Restaurants, serve good wine.
Unlike the cheap RM30 wine I see everyday in Jusco.
I am definitely forgetting my diet during this holidays, to eat like a king, dine like a queen.

I shall write more, when I am in Genting.
I shall be sitting in a corner of Starbucks, sipping my ever-favourite drink: Ice Blended Caramel, with my notebook on my table, and start typing away.
Otherwise, you would probably see me in some clubs in Genting, getting wasted.

What phone? Get a clock instead!

So, you see this latest handphone in the market and you can't afford it.
I totally understand. The price to pay for gadgets nowadays, atrocious.!
Even Lee Ka Seng has to think properly, even before indulging in such technology.
If it's burning a hole in your pocket, guess what it has done to the rest of us.

So, due to the large demand of phones, and to succumb to people's cravings for gadgets, smart people have come up with a splendid idea. Paying only RM19.90, you can now get the phones you desire. There are a range of models to be chosen, and yes, I promise you, these RM19.90 phones are up-to-date phone models

So I wasn't being honest about the phones. Hey, where got such thing so good one ok?! RM19.90 for one phone, somemore latest model, where to get you tell me? Want to buy the battery also cannot ok?!
Anyway, these are replicas of the phones and they are now clocks. Although it's not exactly the same as real phones, but it does resemble your phone, like mine. I am using a nokia 3230, like the picture above. Sweet eh?

See, there's even sony erricson's W550i lookalike! Although the clocks were clearly made in China, and if you would have a closer look, they are not actually as nice as it seems. The product itself has alot of scratches and some even chipped off in certain parts. However, we must give credit to the manufacturers as they went to a great deal of work, seeing the details they put in each clock. Every single button available on each phone models, were also on the clocks itself.

The names of the "phones" were changed though. Nokia becomes Nokna, Sony Erricson becomes Soni Errisan, and Samsung became something else. I forgot.

So, if you have some cash to spare, and you wanna get something different for yourself, get yourself a "phone-lookalike clock". Get one which looks like your own phone, and perhaps, one day, you might pick up your clock instead. Worst still, you might even mistaken your phone for your clock when your alarm goes off in the morning, and if you have the habit of shutting your alarm by throwing your clock away from you, wait till it happens to your phone.

Gout-Free

Dad's getting old.
He complained that his feet hurts.
I told him to get new shoes, but then, it didn't help.
I went online, do a little surfing, and found this website, which might help him.

He kept telling me that he has "Liu-shiun".
Something to do with excess uric acid that you have in your body, which may result in having Gout.

gout [gowt](plural gouts)
noun
1.
disease causing swollen joints: a metabolic disorder mainly affecting men in which excess uric acid is produced and deposited in the joints, causing painful swelling, especially in the toes and feet

And then I read more, and there, there was a remedy to solve his Gout Problem.
I have yet to order it online, maybe scouting it in a local pharmacist store.

"Goutinol is the best all-natural Gout remedy on the market today and works fast, within 2 to 3 days, to quickly stop Gout without any negative side effects. This means a happier you! Used over 3 to 6 months, Gout can be completely reversed. Goutinol has been clinically proven to be 99% effective in soothing the symptoms of Gout without any pharmaceutical drugs and avoid their harsh side-effects. A pharmaceutical-grade product, Goutinol was formulated using the latest nanotechnology to ensure effectiveness. Published clinical studies show remarkable results...complete Gout reversal after prolonged use. "

This was what I read about. I think it works.SOUNDS convincing, but then again, you have to use it, to believe it.
Getting Dad one soon. Hopefully it doesn't burn a hole in my wallet.

Oh, I just read that some of the people used steroid shots to cure this disease. Definitely can't be better than Goutinol.
Go let yourself be free from Gouts. It hurts, according to Dad.

Keeping Fit, and losing the ass..

It has been a problem for women for the past decades.
And recently, it has started to be my problem too.

With what Jacq had said about my ass lately in Cameron Highlands, and a few comments from here and there, I've decided that it's about time I start to hit the gyms again.
With my recent entry about me waking up at 5 in the morning to the Polo Ground to do some jogging in my tabulas, I knew that it's not enough.
Thanks to Goh's blog entry about fitness, I knew Jogging is simply insufficient, especially to kill the fats around my ass.
I took some time off from my usual reading, to browse through several webpages about losing weight, and yes, I arrived at the correct page soon after.
I am now practising what I have read. Hopefully it works!!
(and I WANT it to work to fit into my old clothes)

I tried dieting too. I recently started to skip breakfast, even after a long jog in the park.
I knew it was kinda dangerous doing so, but then, I was so determined in losing weight that now, I am suffering from gastric.
However, losing weight is not about dieting, is about a balance diet, plus a lot of exercise.
Click here and you shall find out, the wonders of losing weight, being healthy and also staying strong!

I can't believe that i still have not gotten over Cameron Highland's trip with Highschool peeps.
It has been a busy week for me, considering most of them are back in town, and I have to go out like almost every night.

For four consecutive nights, I will only reach home after 12 am.
Since Ipoh's not a safe town anymore, I do freak out most of the time.
But, have to "berjaga-jaga" on my own la..right?
18th of December.
Yiling's birthday this time around. Hahha, Happy Sweet 19, girl. My 9th year friend from Ipoh, now based in KL.
Some issues do exist in families, but I'm sure crisis will pass very quickly if we know how to handle them well.

This is the first crap I have written here. Like I've mentioned in Tabulas, that I have alot to write, but the zest is just not there now. Can sense the monthly cycle coming anytime soon now..and forgive me if I am moodless these days. Ya know...

(ATAN'S) tuition gang BBQ party (annual event)

It has been an annual thing.
So, we vowed to make it an annual event.

Even if it means doing it, without him.
Him -- the mean old tuition teacher.
So, STPM was over like a few weeks back, considering that most of the students are still in Ipoh, pursuing form 6, we decided to have it after the big "S".
The planning was easy.
Took a few phone calls, and a meet-up in JinNaa's place one nice afternoon, and we were set going.

Like every other year, we had this BBQ party in Jin Naa's place.
Well, like a tradition.
However, things went a little different this year.
We decided a change of venue in Taman Siong Choon.
A 10-minute drive away, with your car speed of 60km/hr.
We took the shortcut that not many would know, and we arrived safely, just to get things prepped up.
Aww, I have to mention this.
Before the day, Judy and I went to get the stuffs in The Store., well, thanks to Judy for helping me out, but no thanks to Judy for a few screw-ups.
Hehhe.
Jin Naa and her family did the marinating and the satay, whereas Goh did the fish and spaghetti paste.
Simple food for the simple people.
(so we have this kind of food, like every other years)

Only 6 turned up this time around.
Most of them went off to another country, to work.
Some went off to somewhere, for vacation, or to do their shopping spree.
So, food which was prepared for 10, had to be finished by 6.
At first, since I knew Judy couldn't make it, I was afraid that it was going to be a boring party..since I clicked better with her.
However, things took a different turn, when I had Bacardi trailling my throat, soon after.
What is different this year, is also the location for this year's party.
In Yue Wen's place. Being a future Civil Engineer, I can easily see that her parents spend alot for interior design alone. There is a mini pond inside her house, with golden fish swimming around. I didn't manage to take pictures though, but trust me, you don't even need an engineer to tell you that the house took up a lot of money for furnishing.
And this time around, we did not need any coal to start the fire. We had electrical BBQ pits. And it was a hell lot convenient and easy. All we had to do was switch on the power and we were set.

Goh was the guest of honour.
She was having an awesome time in Su Ling's when I had to go fetch her, in the middle of the party, with Elaine.
(You think Petronas give free petrol meh?)
Hahha, anyway, the funniest and scariest part was, I took the wrong detour, and we ended up, driving down a stretch overlooking the cemetery.
I saw the tombs, and I didn't say a word. Even when Elaine kept coaxing me to talk, somehow, I felt an eerie feeling so I kept quiet.
We immediately took an U-turn as soon as we saw cows.
"Ok, kampung road, can la..go straight..erm..,..cows...ok, turn back-turn back..."
Goh was fetched, and yeah, it was another rollercoaster ride.

Meiloo came later with her partner.
Only managed to taste a few satays, and all of us were eager to walk around the new neighbourhood.
Houses were nicely decorated inside out, and YueWen told us that at the end of the road, there is this "Ah-long's" house, with a swimming pool inside together with an elevator. Ok.
That wasn't the scarriest part. Inside the house, there were ferrocious dogs, waiting to jump out at any moment.
Coincidently, Hoiwan's house is a few houses away from Yue Wen's, so we decided to drop by, to say Hello. Grace Cheng was back from Kuantan, Pahang and we managed to catch up. Meiling was also there, to drive them back after a night out in Jusco.
So, there were "hee-hee-hah-hahs" outside Hoiwan's place and back to YueWen's place, there were more.
I wonder if it's a Girl thing, to ever talk so loudly, and to laugh non-stop. Or is it just the group I always hang out with.?

The party ended rather early, seeing that I had to meet up with my cousins all the way from Sitiawan.
PLus, I had some Bacardi down, so I had to drive back early. I didn't manage to help with the clean-up though which I am very sorry about.
Only left Yuewen's place about 12.10 am when they had enough fun of me.There was extra food, so we had a post-party in JinNaa's place the next day. We had spaghetti for lunch!

Since, we bought food for 8, and there was only 6 of us, we had a very expensive BBQ party this year.
Almost a rm30 GONE.
However, it's not the money that I am upset about, it's the company. We used to have so much fun, in a large group, and the people who's missing are Judy, LaiYik. So, there's only 2 who's closer to us.
Aih..Harder to group us next year, and the following years, since some of them are heading to S'pore.
And, mostly, we have engineers in this group of people.
Me, doing Civil. Elaine, doing EE and Judy and JinNaa, doing some Engineering courses(soon).
[Only Goh, bad apple, doing Biology]
{so, we can never understand Biology}

*Pictures are hideous after the sweating and all. Thanks to JinNaa who did all the BBQ-ing and me, sitting around, enjoying the food. =)

Busy

See, people upload their pictures so small in size. How to see??

I can't seem to load the photobucket.com, so I can't put any pictures in Tabulas. Makes my blogpage seems wordy, so have to write here in blogspot. I am tired. Wiped out. Have been out almost the whole day. Totally fully booked till end of this week, and I am starting to get scared going out anymore. I do not want to go out anymore la.
Running low on C-A-S-H. Mummy's not sponsoring. Daddy's not giving. My wallet is burning a hole.

I need to find instant cash. No money liao.

So not in the mood to chat these days. Do not even bother saying "Hie" to me through MSN, because I will get agitated. Just trying to lead my life, with no pesky people around.

Cameron Highland's trip with Highschool friends

What seem to be thoughts, came to reality 2 days ago.
On the 11th-12th of December 2006, we had our post-highschool trip with 9 people who cleared that schedule to be together.
People whom were present:-
1. ME
2. Mei Ling
3. Mel
4. Sarah
5. Dai
6. Karmun
7. Kiranjit
8. Yeesan
9. Jacqueline

So, at 8 on a Monday morning, when all the adult were waking up for work, the 9 of us, gathered in Kinta Bus station, to depart. I, nonetheless, was the first to arrive at 7.45 a.m., when Meiling was about to leave her place. Jacqueline arrived second, while some of them went to the wrong place. Mei Ling spreaded the word that we should wait in Medan Kit, while me being the smart one knew exactly the place we should wait. However, everyone arrived on time, just before the bus set out, and we embarked on our little journey to Cameron Highlands.

Halfway through, before we even reached MGS, the driver told us that something is wrong with the bus. "Itu brek sudah ikat."-that was what we were told. You should see the bus crawling on a flat road surface at less than 10 km/hr, and Karmun made a statement that even after the traffic light has turned red, the bus will yet to have crossed the road. Right now, the 9 of us were getting worried. How can the bus even go right up to Cameron Highlands at the rate it's moving? It might even slide down the hill! So, we tried reasoning with the driver, telling him to tell his boss to change a new bus. There were a few other passengers, probably amused and annoyed with the hoo-hah that 9 of us created. The driver kept assuring us that it's safe in the bus, only that we would be arriving late in Cameron's. What?! We don't want to arrive late in Cameron's which is the reason why we took an early bus..and now he's telling us that??! So, he dropped us somewhere in Simpang Pulai in one of the offices to call his boss. But his boss was such a mean-ass, hung up on Meiling who tried to explain the situation to him. We continued our journey, trying to figure out a solution to the problem.
We did manage to reach the highway to Cameron's and the bus had a hard time to go up a slope. A small slope and it's already crawling. So, the driver stopped the bus aside, and we had to wait for 45 minutes for another bus to come take us.
The journey continued, and some of us did take some shut-eyes, due to tiredness. Kiranjit and Dai were busy updating one another, talking loudly in the bus. We were probably dominating the whole bus, considering we talked so loudly, and people were probably laughing silently, at the things we talked about. We only arrived in Tanah Rata about 12 something.
The first thing everyone was searching would be the toilet whereas the both of us, Meiling and I, settled the bill and the tour around in Campus. We managed to find a van together with the driver, to drive us around, with a minimal fee of RM30. Our driver happened to be called 'Balu', an 18-year-old guy who's currently doing his A-levels in KTAR in Setapak. See how well I know him? That's because I sat with him throughout the whole journey. =)

We went for our first lunch in some cafe, with free WiFi. The food was not at all nice, and it was damn expensive. Nevertheless, everyone was so hungry that we gobbled down the food quickly and went to our apartment. Carnation Apartment, just a 5-minute drive from the town. Our apartment was located 5 storeys high, and everyone, except for me, complained about the flight of stairs. I was having no trouble because I do that for the past 4 months, daily. My hostel in UTP is even higher to begin with. Anyway, we chose our rooms, as soon as the door was opened. Karmun, Kiranjit, Dai and I took the Master bedroom, whereas Mel and Sarah took the second room and Jacq and Yeesan took the third room. There was only 2 bathrooms in the whole house. Meiling wasn't sure which room to choose, so she just dumped her stuffs in the master bedroom. We settled down, and went to the living room to tabulate the money. Then, poker cards were brought out and there we were, playing the first game: Chor Dai Dee. At the same time, the tv was on, and DOHA games were the 'in' channel. The aunty who rented us the apartment was kind enough to lend us her ASTRO card, so we were glued to the tv set the whole time. The van was supposed to pick us up 3 hours later, so we had loads of time to kill. Snacks were brought out, the 2 bottles of wine were put into the fridge and cards were taken out. We played all sorts of card games including Heart Attack, Chor Dai Dee and BlackJack. We had a small gambling session, using only RM0.10 for each round of bet. It was only me who was the banker all the time, with Meiling and Yeesan taking over at times. PLayed for a while, and everyone decided to take a short nap before going out that night. Alas, it was so difficult to sleep, being in a cold place and people who were talking ever so loudly, so I dropped the idea of resting and went to wash my face instead. We left the apartment at 5.30 to the pasar malam in Brinchang.

The pasar malam sold alot of things, ranging from food to souvenirs which would be nice to be given away. The usual price would be 3 for RM10 or 4 for RM10. Food were ample and I did indulge in a few. Like Honey dipped Strawberries on sticks. I had 4 sticks to be exact. The rest were shocked with what I ate, asking me to stop eating. And also, we saw this shirt with words like " Will work for sex ", cost RM10 each. I wanted to get one, but at the same time, I didn't feel like forking out a red-dollar note. I don't know, but I went for homemade ice-cream anyway. It took RM2 for 2 scoops, I had a rum-raisins and strawberry icecream, which was so rich in cream. Low Fat Cream. We indulge in food till we remember that we still have to keep room for our steamboat dinner. We walked slowly to the restuarant " O.K. Tuck! " when we saw a lot of people. We did stop by at some souvenir shop to look around, because we were still full with what we have eaten in the pasar malam. We only managed to grab our seats around 7.

We had a scrumptious meal, which cost us RM15 perhead. It was not a very nice steamboat dinner, only enough to satisfy us. Jacqueling didn't quite like it since she can only take fishballs, so...We however did like it, just for the company. We went back to our apartment early to resume our little chatting session. Everyone took their shower, when all of us sat down to watch "House" on AXN and after that NIP/Tuck. Cards were brought out again, together with the wine we bought. Yeesan forgot to bring the corkscrew so we had a real hard time taking out the cork. It took 4 people, taking out the corks. The white wine was not nice, but the red one was fruity. All of us had our drinks and then, everyone started feeling tipsy. Karmun's face went all red, and she didn't feel well. I kept refilling Mel's and Dai's glass. Dai took sips while Mel drank quite fast. Soon, everyone was feeling tipsy, and that was when we had our "TRUTH OR DARE" game with the spinning bottle. All secrets were let out. Those with questions were all answered. I even answered 2 myself. Man, and then, people were getting bored with questioning and answering, so cards were brought out again. This time, bets were raised, and we had an awesome game. Dai is now known as "Kaki Judi Hitam". =) She got pretty good now, probably can join us during Chinese New Year now.

We retired rather early, about 2 that night as we have an early day the next day. Mel and Sarah took the living room and Meiling took the sofa. The 4 of us, went back to our room, cam-whore a little with the mirror and started to talk alil. Dai was afraid of the dark, kept asking us to switch on the lights. We all woke up at 8 the next day. Our tour starts at 8.30 a.m. where we had our breakfast in some Indian restaurant. The food is cheap compared to Jarum Emas back in Tronoh, ok? The first stop was in Rose Garden. No one wanted to enter the place due to the entrance fee of RM4. So Balu (our driver) had to take us to the 2nd place which was the Rajoo Strawberry farm. We spend more time in the shop eating strawberries than visiting the farm. I bought myself a big packet of strawberries with honey, with RM6 and I satisfied myself. So, now, I am sick of them already.

Among the places we visited were the Honey Bee farm, the market, the butterfly farm, the Boh tea factory. Only 5 of us went inside the Butterfly farm because the entrance fee was RM5 and I didn't regret a single cent. The things we saw was mesmerizing. And of course, we kept thinking pictures. We do love posing, especially Yeesan, whom we reckoned couldn't live without her camera. We did take alot of pictures together, and we posed alot too. Pictures are available everywhere in the internet.

All in all, we had a marvellous time together, updating one another about what's happening in our lives. Because we are now distributed all around the globe, this trip served its purpose by putting us together, and to share what we have learned. I was the centre of "attention" in this trip, being made fun by people who ganged up on me. But I know, you guys love me too much, to let me off the hook. I thank you people for that. I shall not forget that Jacq made fun of my big ass during the trip, and everyone started to make fun of it too. Meiling had to remind me that I was fat, which didn't stop me from eating less during the trip. I shall not forget the things we talked about during the "heart-to-heart" cum spin the bottle session which I still remember till today. People who are tipsy talks easily, and I am happy that they talked it out. I told them my private moments about MP too, whom they now know what's making it harder for me to let go.

We left Cameron Highland's at 3 pm, failing to bid Balu farewell. He was such a great and patient person to have brought us to places, and to stand the noise they created at the back of the van. Only reached Ipoh at about 5 pm. During the journey back, everyone fell into deep sleep, as we were all very tired. We bought alot of vegetables, flowers, corn and stuffs back to Ipoh.

I am looking forward to the next trip though. I know it's rather impossible as most of them will be leaving the country soon.
Even
for this trip, it took alot of effort from all parties to come together at one time, to make this trip successful. It's sad to know that some have changed, and also some remains the same. But deep within, we are still the students of MGS, who were once mischievous, and also naughty in heart.
